A sampling of our projects….
This was the first San Diego luxury hi-rise to be completely repiped, drain, waste, vent including all mains to the street. We were hired by the HOA to develop costs scenarios, create RFP to bid the project to the market costs to completely repipe the entirety of the Grande North which included 221 luxury high rise suites. The units were occupied throughout the duration of the 16-month process, which required daily inspections by the City of SD Building Department. This was such an amazing project… we assembled our team, acted as the HOA’s Construction Manager and brought the project in on time and “under” budget.
Another first in San Diego, we were hired by the Board of Directors of The Harbor Club to obtain “approval” to decommission the existing helipads on both the East and West Towers, in order to facilitate the installation of a new BMU (Building Maintenance Unit or Swing Stage … used to clean glass).
After spending over $1.5m dollars, the previous team failed in their attempt to obtain any approvals from the City of San Diego Building and/or Fire Departments. We were able to not only obtain approval for the decommissioning of the helipads by both the City of San Diego Building and Fire Departments, we have obtained and are in the process of receiving approvals for the installation of the new BMU systems on both towers.
Virgin Galactic Rocket Motor
The Virgin Galactic! We were hired by SpaceDev to assemble a “team” to assist in identifying, locating and obtaining approvals for the rocket motor for Virgin Galactic’s new rocket motor. See attached video link.
Cool thing about this project is that we obtained preliminary approval in “ONE” meeting with City Officials (and everyone was there) and “before” we obtained the permit, to meet the deadlines as provided by SpaceDev, we completed the entire construction of the site while waiting for the permits to be provided documenting each and every set of the process with the team assemble which required, full time, continuous inspections by the engineering team and special inspectors assembled to make this happen.. And when the day came.. we pulled our permits.. passed our inspection and the video tells the rest of the story.
